It's all too easy to overlook a card that has additional costs to play. But take a second look at Familiar's Ruse.
Returning a card to your hand has benefits and that's why this card is part of the Going Rogue theme deck. Pestermite's the obvious candidate. Parterned with this card, during your opponent's turn you can tap/untap two creatures and counter a spell.
Similar cards that have an effect when they enter play work well. Try Marsh Flitter or Hunted Troll to generate more creature tokens.
Less obvious the ability to take back a tapped creature as the cost of this card and then return that creature into play untapped. If that creature has haste, so much the better.
The card can find a good use nearly every deck, so long as it can find cards to partner up with.
